HISTORY

Hoffman Industrial, formerly Hoffman Riggers, has been in business since 1846.   Our early origins revolved around relocating barns and houses as new areas were developed in this area.   As our expertise in the moving of these structures grew during the 1900's, our area also grew in terms of manufacturing facilities.  The Industrial Revolution and the World Wars led to a major increase in manufacturing plants in our area.

We were poised ready to serve industry by installing major pieces of equipment for these plants by utilizing the skills we learned moving houses.   Industry has been our primary focus for the last 50 years and machinery moving has been our expertise.   Just as teh Industrial Revolution changed America in the 1950's and also changed Hoffman, the current global market has again caused a  change in America and also Hoffman.  Local industry has had to cut staff, become more efficient,  and diversify.

Hoffman Industrial is now poised once again and has now expanded to include not only our core business of moving machinery and structures but has also positioned ourselves to serve industry by offering engineering project management and fabrication services.  Over the past few years alone, Hoffman has performed work in hundreds of different manufacturing facilities giving us an insight to many different and innovative techniques utilized in a manufacturing environment.  This is well above what your average commercial contractor has seen or done.

Our staff includes engineers whom have worked in industry for decades designing material handling and automatic machinery.  It is our desire to assist manufacturing in any way possible to achieve further success for them and our relationships with electrical, piping and commercial contractors enable us to manage projects from beginning to end.  Yor continued sucess is our goal.  A portfolio of previous accomplishments can be reviewed with you at your convenience.
